Who we are

The Fundación Axencia Enerxética Provincial da Coruña FAEPAC, was created on the 10th May, 2006 as a non profit organization. It was created as an autonomous and legally and administratively independent organization. According to the order of 28th July, 2006, it is classified as an industrial related organization, attached to the Galician Ministry for Innovation and Industry. The ministry will then have to act as a protector over it. On the 15th September, 2006 it was declared as a Galician-related foundation and it was ordered its registry on the Galician-related foundations registry.

The Axencia Enerxética Provincial da Coruña belongs to a transnational consortium formed by three other European Energy Agencies in order to develop the project “Intelligent Energy for Europe, IEE”. The Deputación da Coruña has guided the creation of these agencies and acts as its coordinator at the European Commission during their three first years.
