The growing industrial development of our society, as well as the improvement in quality of life and benefits, provide an increase in energy consumption, specially in power and transport fuels.

The constant use of fossil energies, as coal, gas and oil, cause an increase of the greenhouse effect gasses, which contribute to the global warming of the planet. The amount of polluting gases derived from the combustion of sulphides also increases.

As an answer to these problems, last century the humankind understood that it is not possible to progress on the expense of the planet, so plans and programs to foster the use of clean energies were created.

Renewable energies are defined as those that are produced continuously, are inexhaustible and the sun is at the origin of all of them.

The main advantage of renewable energies is its low environmental impact, because they reduce the emission of polluting products to the atmosphere, its geographical distribution is less concentrated, they are autochthonous and they can be generated on a lower scale.
